Effective TCM interventions for epileptic comorbidities. Some representative TCM prescriptions or herbal medicines is potentially effective for both control epileptic symptoms and comorbidities. TCM prescriptions for the treatment of epilepsy comorbid with cognitive impairment are Huazhuo Jiedu Shugan Decoction, Tongluojiunao Injection and Shenmai Injection. TCM prescription for the treatment of epilepsy comorbid with depression is Chaihu Shugan San. TCM herbs for the treatment of epilepsy comorbid with depression are Gastrodiae Rhizoma and Uncariae Ramulus Cum Uncis
